Specialized Anxiety Therapy in West Chester & Cincinnati
Anxiety can show up in ways that are easy to overlook. Maybe your mind rarely feels quiet, you’re constantly anticipating what could go wrong, or you find yourself striving to do everything “right.” You may be high-achieving and capable on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in patterns of overthinking, perfectionism, or worry.
At Cedar Rose Counseling & Wellness, I provide specialized anxiety therapy in West Chester, Ohio, serving women, college students, and young adults throughout the greater Cincinnati area. My approach goes beyond simply teaching you how to manage anxious thoughts. Together, we work to understand the patterns keeping anxiety going and build a different relationship with your thoughts, emotions, body, and everyday experiences.

You can start exactly where you are.
Anxiety Therapy Services
While anxiety is a universal experience, it presents itself uniquely for each person. For some, it sounds like constant worry and overthinking. For others, it shows up as perfectionism, avoidance, intrusive thoughts, or a nervous system that always seems to be on high alert.
At Cedar Rose, therapy is tailored to the patterns you're experiencing and the life you want to move toward. My approach may integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure-based strategies depending on your needs. Explore the areas of support below to learn more about how therapy can help.

You don't need to have a specific diagnosis or know exactly what's "wrong" before reaching out for therapy. You may simply know that the way you've been coping isn't working anymore—or that you're tired of feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in the same patterns.
I work primarily with women, college students, and young adults who are ready to better understand themselves, build more flexibility, and create meaningful change.
Women Experiencing Anxiety & Perfectionism
You may be the person everyone relies on. You get things done, hold yourself to high standards, and rarely let yourself slow down. But underneath the productivity, you may feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly falling short.
Therapy can help you understand the anxiety and perfectionism driving these patterns, loosen rigid expectations, and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself—without giving up the things that matter to you.
College Students & Young Adults
College and early adulthood can bring a unique combination of pressure, uncertainty, and change. You may be navigating academic expectations, relationships, career decisions, independence, or the pressure to have your future figured out.
Anxiety counseling can help you manage overthinking and perfectionism, build confidence, and develop skills for navigating uncertainty without letting anxiety make every decision for you.

Individuals Experiencing OCD & Intrusive Thoughts
OCD can make thoughts feel urgent, meaningful, or impossible to ignore. You may find yourself seeking reassurance, avoiding situations, checking, researching, or trying to gain certainty about things that feel frightening or uncomfortable.
Evidence-based OCD therapy, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), can help you step out of the cycle and develop a different relationship with intrusive thoughts and uncertainty.

A Whole-Person Approach to Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety isn't something I believe you need to conquer, eliminate, or fight your way through.
Instead, therapy can help you understand the relationship between your mind, body, nervous system, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and learn to respond to your experiences in ways that support the life you actually want to live.
My approach draws from several evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure-based strategies. These approaches can help you develop greater awareness of your patterns, build psychological flexibility, and practice responding differently to anxiety and discomfort.
We also pay attention to the body. Anxiety isn't just something that happens in your thoughts. Your nervous system is constantly taking in information, responding to perceived threats, and influencing how you experience the world around you. Understanding this mind-body connection can make your experiences feel less confusing—and give us another place to begin creating meaningful change.
Rather than trying to create a life where you never feel anxious, our work focuses on helping you become more confident, flexible, and capable of moving through anxiety when it inevitably shows up.
Because lasting relief isn't necessarily about making anxiety disappear.
It's about changing your relationship with it—and learning that you can move forward even when discomfort is present.
