Holistic Anxiety Therapy That Goes Deeper
Understanding your mind and body so you can heal at the root—not just manage symptoms
Who We Serve
Cedar Rose serves women throughout Ohio—both in-person at our West Chester office and virtually across the state.
Whether you're navigating the demands of your career, motherhood, major life transitions, or the unique challenges of pregnancy and postpartum, we provide a space where you can finally slow down, understand what's happening in your body, and create lasting change.
Our clients often:
Feel like they're constantly "on," unable to fully relax
Experience anxiety that traditional approaches haven't fully resolved
Are interested in understanding the why behind their symptoms
Want a holistic approach that honors the mind-body connection
Prefer natural, whole-person healing over quick fixes
If this sounds like you, you're in the right place.
What Makes Cedar Rose Different
We Don't Just Manage Anxiety—We Help You Understand and Heal It
Most anxiety treatment focuses on symptom management: breathing exercises, thought challenging, coping skills you have to remember to use when you're already overwhelmed.
At Cedar Rose, we go deeper.
We help you understand:
What's actually happening in your nervous system and why it gets stuck in "fight or flight"
How your gut health, nutrition, hormones, and physical health impact your anxiety
Why your body responds the way it does to stress
How to create lasting change—not just temporary relief
This isn't just talk therapy. It's education, nervous system healing, and building awareness of the mind-body patterns keeping you stuck.
We combine Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and nervous system education to help you build a more compassionate, flexible relationship with yourself—one where anxiety no longer runs the show.
And when appropriate, we connect you with trusted holistic practitioners (dietitians, functional medicine doctors, bodywork specialists) so you have access to comprehensive, integrated support.
What To Expect From Therapy
You'll Finally Understand What's Happening in Your Body
My clients often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, exhausted from constantly managing their anxiety, and frustrated that nothing seems to create lasting change.
After working together, they often feel:
Calm and grounded in their bodies
Confident in understanding their triggers and responses
Connected to what truly matters to them
Equipped with tools that actually work long-term
Less controlled by anxious thoughts and more present in their lives
Throughout your time in therapy, we will:
Identify the root causes - Where is your anxiety actually coming from? What patterns in your nervous system, your thoughts, your body are keeping you stuck?
Connect the dots - How is anxiety impacting your body, your relationships, your work, your sleep, your sense of self? What's the connection between your physical health and mental health?
Build lasting skills - You'll learn evidence-based techniques rooted in ACT and mindfulness—but more importantly, you'll understand why they work so you can use them confidently throughout your life.
Honor your body's wisdom - You'll learn to interpret your body's stress response as information, not something to fight. Because it's only when we accept the presence of anxiety that we can find true freedom from it.
“I don't want therapy to be a mystery to you. I'll teach you the science behind what we're doing so you leave feeling empowered, not dependent on therapy” - Katie McLauglin, MA LPCC-S

How Therapy Will Help
Imagine Living Without Anxiety Running the Show
Imagine being able to feel fully present in your relationships and responsibilities instead of constantly overthinking, doubting yourself, and preparing for worst-case scenarios.
Imagine understanding why your body responds the way it does to stress—and knowing exactly how to support your nervous system.
Imagine having the energy, clarity, and calm you've been searching for.
This is what becomes possible when we address anxiety holistically:
You feel calm and grounded in your body
You're confident in navigating stress without spiraling
You're present in your life instead of performing your way through it
You understand the connection between your physical and mental health
Anxiety no longer stops you from living the life you want to live
You don't have to figure this out alone.
My approach to therapy changed the day I realized you can't separate mental health from physical health.
Through my own health journey, I recognized a profound shift in my mental health after making some changes to my diet. My physical health improved, yes—but my anxiety and depression also drastically decreased. I had more energy. I felt fundamentally different.
That experience led me down a path of discovery. I learned about gut health, the gut-brain connection, and how everything we eat impacts how our brain functions. I pursued additional education in nutrition science, nervous system regulation and deepened my training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches.
Now I help women connect these same dots as they recover from burnout and chronic stress—addressing both the mental patterns (perfectionism, always-on mode) and the physical toll (nervous system dysregulation, gut health, exhaustion). In our work together, you'll learn what's actually happening in your nervous system, how your physical health impacts your mental health, and how to create lasting change. I combine evidence-based therapy with education about the nervous system, gut-brain connection, and holistic approaches to wellness.
While I focus on the mental and emotional aspects of healing, I work closely with trusted dietitians, functional medicine practitioners, and other holistic providers to ensure you have access to comprehensive support when you're ready.
I keep my practice intentionally small so I can give each client the time, attention, and individualized care this work deserves.
