Self-doubt, inner criticism and a busy mind easily lead to feeling overwhelmed and anxious; however, the way in which we respond to these inner experiences is actually of more importance. More often than not, we respond to unpleasant thoughts and emotions with resistance, resulting in a never-ending inner battle that ends up destroying our confidence and leaving us more stressed than ever.

As I have practiced mindfulness and acceptance in my own life, the grip that anxiety and perfectionism had on me has loosened. Amazingly, even in the midst of anxious times and major life transitions I have continued to find peace simply because of how I choose to respond to the thoughts and emotions I used to fight with.

In the work I am humbled to do with clients, I pull from Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These approaches help to uncover patterns and responses which may not be aligned with the life you’re hoping to live, while empowering you to implement authentic, value-driven choices.
